BIO

Artist Henry Richardson (b. 1961) innovated a method of chiseling and bonding enormous sheets of plate glass into monumental, yet ethereal, crystalline forms, a method which he continues to refine.  He attended Haverford College where he studied geology and art.  This background in both art and science informs his creative process and mastery of chiseling glass, an industrial material not often explored artistically. Richardson divides his time between New York City and a studio in Tyringham, MA in the Berkshires.

The visual impact of [Tikkun] is almost overwhelming because of its size and material composition. Technically, the construction of the sculpture is astonishing. In my opinion, this is a significant work of art and would be appropriate for a museum or a corporate collection.
